Once you are done with filling in, submitting, printing your copy of the application, and paying the required processing fees to the bank of choice, you are ready to schedule or reschedule an appointment for your Uganda passport online. If you were wondering how to go about the above, this article shows you how to. All you need is to keep reading in order to understand the entire how it works.

By the time you reach this step, I assume you have already filled in the online passport application form. In case you haven’t yet but, rather want to know everything before you can get started, this post too covers you. As we all know, a passport is an official travel document that allows anyone to go past all borders assuming anything else is in good standing.

Why schedule an appointment?

In the past, there used to be no such appointments and etc. Applicants had to fill form A & B, attach all relevant documents, pay associated fees to the bank of choice, and wait in long queues in order to submit. Thanks to the new ePassport system which the governed launched early this year. There are no more waiting in long queues since scheduling an appointment allocates one the exact time they should be worked on.

If you want to know the time when the immigration officer will interview you, the only way is to schedule an appointment, which is done online after paying passport fees in the bank. What does it mean? Simple, you process the application, pay the money to the bank and schedule your interview time.

How to schedule a passport interview appointment?

  • Visit passports.go.ug
  • Click the “Schedule Appointment” button
  • Input “Application number, date of birth, Surname, and given text”
  • Click “Retrieve”
  • Click on the choice date of choice from the available dates

Wait for the page to load and either download and save, or download and print your interview appointment form.

Note: It is recommended you only go about the above once you have paid the fees to the bank. Your recommender must sign and also attach their photocopy of the national ID, in addition to the recommendation letter before you can submit your application to the Immigration control office depending on your selection of submission.

How to Reschedule appointment for passport Uganda

Visit passports.go.ug
Click the “Schedule Appointment” button
Input “Application number, date of birth, Surname, and given text”
Click “Retrieve”
Click on the choice date of choice from the available dates
