URA Web Portal Spends Hours Inaccessible On Most ISP’s, Resurrects With “The Demo Code For This Website Will Expire In 10 Days” Notice! What Does It Mean?

URA Website Spends Hours Inaccessible

For many out there who tried accessing Uganda Revenue Authority Website and portal today the 21st September 2015 using the different Internet service providers including Airtel, MTN, proxies like Anonymox, hidemyass and others just to get the service of choice for example generating a payment PRN, error is what was the response many got from the different browsers.

Personally, I tried accessing the site to register a payment of a drivers license renewal, but all trials ended in vain since on very option I tried, the result was an error timeout. I kept trying until I gave up, and which is the same story which many share.

But guess what, on the URA offices, the services were up and running for example, I was served finally well as I couldn’t complete the process since the same problems were being experienced at Kyambogo Face Technologies.

How about this? When you see the screenshot taken from the same URA website on the same date at 10:38 PM or at 23:38 hours, the site is back but with a red notice of “The Demo Code For This Website Will Expire In 10 Days”. This made me wonder what happened and why a site like URA had to go through this.

Anyways, for as long as the service outage is solved, I see no problem with the demo and error notice….
